Aquaforest TestPro KH is designed to quickly measure carbonate hardness in the marine aquariums.
Carbonate is one the three key macro elements in seawater which plays important role in order to ensure the proper functioning of the marine aquarium and healthy development of corals.
Alkalinity - KH - level should vary between 6.8 - 8.0 dKH for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS). Higher values - up to 12.0 dKH are permissible for aquariums with higher level of nutrients.
The set contains enough reagents to perform 78-100 determinations of carbonate hardness.
ReefCentral.eu advice: The level of KH - and to keep it stable as possible around the ideal value - is one of the most important factor every reef aquarist should be aware of. It's value can change more quickly - especially in heavily stocked reef tanks - than other elements, so we suggest to make tests at least once a week, but even daily if needed.
